Baldoyle Racecourse Community Garden

About Baldoyle Racecourse Community Garden

Gathering the Baldoyle Community to share skills knowledge and interests in organic gardening. In March 2013, we were given land by Fingal County Council and through volunteering our time, we built a 44 bed garden. We manage and maintain the garden ourselves. We are starting an expansion on 4th March 2016.

What's Involved

Looking for more volunteers to join our team.

Volunteer taks
~ Removing existing fence and recycle it;
~ Fencing (preparing for the new compost area);
~ Preparing ground for new compost;
~ Moving plants to storage until area is ready for replanting;
~ Digging;
~ Mixing mulch into top soil;
~ Painting wooden gates and sheds;
~ Planting orchard;
~ Shrubs and hedging;

This project will take a few separate days of volunteering. So anyone interested are welcome to join the Baldoyle Community Garden to see the project through to completion.
