About The Avalon Centre (formerly St. Annes Youth & Community Centre)

The Avalon Centre services the East Ward RAPID area of Sligo. The Centre provides a facility which is inclusive, offering opportunites for the social, personal, cultural & educational development of members. The Centre offers supports aimed at enhancing the quality of life for all and in particular for those who are disadvantaged, marginalised and/or at risk.

What's Involved

Currently we're closed due to the COVID19 crisis but if interested please hit 'register interest' below and we'll be in touch when we re-open.

We need some new volunteers to help out on Thursdays from 7-9pm. Volunteers would be required to supervise and take part in various activities such as sports, dance, snooker, table tennis and baking etc. with participants from 10-14 years old.

What's required for this position

No Specific Skills required - but an interest in working with young people and maybe someone that is currently studying or involved in Youth Work or Special Needs assistance.
We would love to hear from anyone interested in working with young people at all.

Volunteers will be provided with the following supports:
