About Dublin Dance Festival
Dublin Dance Festival traditionally takes place over 12 days in Spring bringing together the best and emerging artist in both Irish and International Contemporary Dance Scene. DDF as it is more commonly known is Ireland's Premier Contemporary Dance Event. During theses days there are show cases, mater classes, panel discussions that encourage audience involvement in the hope to education and grow contemporary dance's place in the public Arts realm. For those involved from interns to volunteers it is a unique opportunity to see what it takes to put on an event of this scale on a daily basis from behind the scenes and can be a stepping stone in a career in The Arts or Event Management.

Then why not join us as a volunteer for our 2024 Edition, taking place in venues and spaces throughout Dublin from 14 - 25 May.
Whether it's about experiencing dance for the first time, meeting like-minded people or starting a new career path - volunteering puts you at the heart of it all.
Information on some of the roles involved:
Front of House / Ushering: admissions, directing patrons to venue / amenities / box office, meeting and greeting guests, crowd liaison and information point of contact. Shifts can vary from helping customers with their E-tickets, ticket scanning, looking after waiting lists, ushering patrons through the venue and can sometimes be located outdoors.
Artist Liaison: meeting artists and accompanying them to their workshop or event. Ensuring artists have the space set up and all the requirements they need.
Friends Sign Up: informing audience members about DDF’s Friends scheme and signing up friends at Festival events.
Event Management Support: assisting with setting and managing festival events and receptions, venue branding drop off/pick up.
Market Research: interviewing patrons and conducting surveys.
Closing date for volunteer applications is Monday 29th April 2024.
What's required for this position
Volunteers must be 18 years or older, have conversational English and should be available for a minimum of 3 volunteer shifts.
