About Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ireland (Foroige)
Big Brother Big Sister is an internationally renowned one-to-one mentoring program for young people.
It matches an adult volunteer to a young person who would benefit from additional support. The aim of the program is for a caring and supportive friendship to develop and reinforce the positive development of the young person.

What's Involved
The adult volunteer will become a role model, mentor and most of all a friend to a young person in need of extra support in their lives.
The volunteer has to participate in a training day and commit to meet a young person for 1-2 hours per week over the minimum of one year.
The volunteer has to abide by Big Brothers Big Sisters guidelines.
The volunteer programme especially needs male volunteers.
