About The Hope Foundation
Hope is a registered Irish charity (CHY 13237) and works for the development of street children in Kolkata (formally Calcutta) through Protection, Education, Healthcare, Counselling, Children's rights awareness, vocational training and reintegration into family life. Set up in 1999 in Cork by Maureen Forrest (Hon. Director), The Hope Foundation has given over 200,000 children to date a brighter future ensuring greater numbers of Kolkata’s street and slum children enjoy their basic rights to protection, education, healthcare and nutritious food.
We need people to sell HOPE Butlers Chocolate Truffle bars and make a difference to a child’s life.
The Annual National Day of HOPE, kindly supported by Butlers Chocolate, takes place across the country on Thursday October 11th. Now in its 7th year, the Day of HOPE raises much needed funds for the street and slum children of Kolkata, India.
There are a number of ways you can get involved on The Day of HOPE:
• Be a HOPE Hero volunteer collector in one of our multiple locations in Dublin and nationwide.
• Sell the HOPE chocolate bars in your office or school
• Host a raffle/coffee morning;
Each delicious chocolate truffle bar only costs €2, which in Kolkata will provide two street children on a HOPE programme with meals for a day!
The chocolate bars come in cases of 160 bars and €1.40 from each bar sold is profit for HOPE.
