About VSI - Voluntary Service International
Voluntary Service International (VSI) is the Irish branch of Service Civil International, a worldwide peace movement that began in 1920. We work to promote peace, social justice, sustainable development and intercultural understanding through volunteering abroad and in Ireland.
What's Involved
We are looking for volunteers for 2-week residential projects taking place during summer (July to September) in Cuisle Holiday Centre, Ballybay Camphill Community and Grangebeg Camphill Community.
Cuisle is a holiday centre for people with physical disabilities, speech impairments and/or learning disabilities. Volunteers will socialise and interact with the guests and accompany them on trips.
Ballybay and Grangebag Camphill Communities are both residential centres for people with disabilities. Volunteers will help staff and residents with gardening activities and will accompany residents in their free time activities.
Project dates:
2 July - 13 July (Cuisle),
21 July - 4 August (Ballybay),
23 July - 3 August (Cusile),
26 August - 2 September (Grangebeg).
