St Joseph’s is the largest care home in Ireland solely dedicated to dementia care – where feelings matter most. Our vision is that our communities can access with ease high quality care and services that are responsive to society’s needs today and into the future. 60 people call St Joseph’s their home and we also provide weekly respite and day care facilities.

What's Involved
Are you a welcoming hospitable person, do you always have a smile and a kind word for people, and do you have evenings or weekend time free to volunteer? If so you are the person we need! Here at Saint Joseph’s Centre we are looking for volunteers to be our receptionists in the evening and at the weekends. Ideally during the week from 5pm until 7pm and at the weekends we are looking for someone to cover the Saturday and Sunday afternoon ‘shift’ from 3pm to 7pm. We rely on you to welcome families and friends to Saint Joseph’s Centre and to ensure that the residents are safe and secure in their home. You will also answer the phone and transfer calls to staff and residents too!
What's required for this position
Ideally the volunteer will have experience with dealing with the public and you certainly must enjoy people. We would be delighted to welcome you to Saint Joseph’s Centre as our front of house ambassador!
