Irish Blood Transfusion Service meets patient blood compenent needs nationwide through professionalism of staff and the generosity of donors
What's Involved
Give blood at one of our clinics at a location near you (approx. every 3 months if possible).
Irish Blood Transfusion Service needs to collect 3,000 donations every week, but currently only 3% of the eligible population in Ireland are blood donors.
1 in 4 people will require a blood transfusion at some point in their lives.

What's required for this position
No skills needed - although not everybody is able to give blood - for many varying reasons. You can take the eligibility test on www.giveblood.ie to see if you might be able to give blood

Location of volunteering opportunity:
At local clinics every three months throughout the country. In addition, we have permanent clinics in D'Olier Street and Stillorgan (both Dublin) and St Finbarrs Hospital Cork
