About CDETB Adult Education Service
The CDETB Adult Education Service provides a variety of learning opportunities and supports to assist the increasing number of adults returning to education. The CDETB Adult Education Service works to encourage, enable and support adults who wish to improve their skills by availing of the educational opportunities that best suit their needs. Programmes are provided within CDETB centres and in community settings.
What's Involved
We are seeking volunteers who currently work in the community sector and are interested in learning suitable teaching methods to help adults to improve their reading, writing, numeracy or communication skills. On completion of this course volunteers will be able to support adult learners improve their reading and writing skills in a supervised setting.
What's required for this position
Volunteers need basic computer skills to access class materials online. As part of the course all volunteers will be asked to complete Garda Vetting. In order to successfully complete the training programme, participants will need 80% attendance and to complete a written assignment at the end of the course.
