About Team Hope - Sligo (Christmas Shoe Box Appeal)
Team Hope is part of an International Christian Humanitarian organisation which collects shoe boxes filled with gifts to give to children in developing world countries. Filled shoe boxes are donated by the general public. The Sligo branch support this project by sorting boxes before shipping from the Old Courthouse, Warehouse, Ballymote Co Sligo.
What's Involved
Shoeboxes filled with goodies by kids all over Sligo will soon be making their way from primary schools and community centres to Ballymote Old Court House for checking.
Anyone with free time who can help check shoe boxes in BALLYMOTE is invited to drop in during any of these times from Wednesday 13th November to the end of the month:
Monday to Friday
Mornings 10am to 1pm
Afternoon 2pm to 5pm
Evenings 7pm to 10pm
People under 18 should be supervised by a parent/guardian. Gaisce pupils would be accepted on these grounds.
Everybody welcome even if you can only do an hour during any of the above times - every little helps! There is no other Sligo location.
Just call in to the Old Court House in the centre of Ballymote to help out.
Shoeboxes from schools and other collection points all over the county are checked here before shipping to kids in countries based in Africa and Eastern Europe.
Volunteers are mainly needed to check boxes as sometimes the contents are not appropriate. Some limited help is needed with packaging the boxes for shipping and tidy up but most volunteers will be checking contents. The boxes leave Sligo to be delivered to kids living in poverty in time for Christmas.

Enjoy working with others to selflessly pack shoeboxes that will be delivered to children in real need.
