About RehabCare
The health and social care division of Rehab Group, RehabCare was established in 1995 and today supports more than 3,000 people with disabilities throughout Ireland each year.
RehabCare employs over 1,000 staff who provide a wide variety of responsive health and social care services to people of all ages and from all walks of life. Services range from resource centre activities to support provided to individuals within their own homes. Those who use RehabCare services include people with disabilities and their families, children and older people.
What's Involved
RehabCare would like to hear from volunteers who are interested in volunteering alongside its staff in supporting people to acquire independent living skills, engage in their communities; avail of educational opportunities and new life experiences and to engage in meaningful work opportunities. You would be helping to achieve RehabCare's vision of supporting each person to live life to the full and to be valued for, and as, themselves.
What's required for this position
We would love to hear from you if you have a particular skill set such as:
art
crafts
needle craft
gardening / horticulture
woodcraft
drama
car mechanics
music
dancing
administration
Or any other skills that may be beneficial to our service users
In addition we welcome people who do not have a particular skill but are interested in supporting people with intellectual disabilities to take part in community based and service based activities. We are also interested in engaging volunteers who are motivated to support people in the evenings and weekends with various activities. Previous experience of working with people with disabilities is not essential. Volunteers will receive induction and will be supported by staff at all times.
