The aim is to make Ballincollig a better place to live and work. Our Mission: Bringing together all that is good in a community to create a Town future generations can be proud of. Irelands Tidiest Large Urban Centre 2023. Supervalu National Tidy Towns - Gold Medal Winner 2023.

What's Involved

Volunteers are needed to help make Ballincollig a better place to live and work, we carry out litter picks throughout the town each Sunday morning at 11 am and adjourn to the Oriel House Hotel afterwards for tea and coffee.

When the evenings get longer we carry out general work varying from grass cutting, kerb cleaning to planting and maintaining flower beds and hanging baskets. This happens any evening Tuesdays and Thursdays between 7- 9 pm.

In 2012 we won a Gold medal in the National Tidy Towns Competition and in recent years have won 3 bronze medals and 2 silver medals. Ballincollig has been nominated to represent Ireland for 2014 in the Entente Florale Competition in which we will be participating with 11 other countries in Europe.

What's required for this position

Enthusiasm and an interest in improving Ballincollig.
