About Conna Day Care Centre
Conna Day Care Centre is a service ran by the Alzheimer Society of Ireland, the leading provider of dementia-specific services in Ireland. Their services provide person centred support and care, the person with dementia and their family are placed at the centre of the service so that they are actively involved in making decisions.
What's Involved
Volunteers, in conjunction with day centre staff, are required to facilitate Art, Crafts, Knitting, Weaving, Sewing, Embroidery or any other crafts which may be of interest to elderly people on a weekly basis.
What's required for this position
To have patience, compassion and good communication skills with elderly people, to be respectful of their needs, abilities and limitations.
