About Focus Ireland-Sligo
Focus Ireland is driven by the fundamental belief that homelessness is wrong.
Wrong because it is a failure of society that creates victims out of ordinary people and robs them of their potential. Wrong because it can be prevented, it can be solved but is allowed to continue and in doing so, undermines society.
Focus Ireland believes that everyone has the right to a place they can call home.
Focus Ireland has provided homeless services in Sligo and the North West for the last 15 years. However, the rate of homelessness in Sligo is increasing at an alarming rate and Focus Ireland needs your support in order to continue to provide a range of services to people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
What's Involved
We are looking for volunteers to host a Christmas Jumper Day in their workplace/community/sports club/office or in any location where they have a group of people who will participate. This can be done on a once off date that suits the organiser.
This is a really easy way to make a difference to the homeless crisis . It really just involves having a donation box out at any gathering or even your coffee/lunch break, even the Christmas jumpers aren't absolutely essential! You can do this any time before Christmas or even in the new year.
