About The Iris Charles Centre
The Iris Charles Centre provides dinners and activities for older people in the community. A registered charity run by a committee of volunteers, the Centre is located in Newbridge Avenue in Sandymount. We have three function rooms, including a dining room, for holding events.
What's Involved
We provide dinners and activities four days a week to older members of the local community. We are looking for an additional volunteer to:
(a) initiate and promote events in the Centre,
(b) attract more people to avail of the dinners which are provided four days a week in the Centre.
Currently exercise classes are provided before the dinners one day a week.
What's required for this position
This role would suit a retired person who is flexible with their time and who would be able to liaise with other volunteers on an informal basis.
