About Irish Red Cross - Dublin 15 (Fingal)
The Irish Red Cross is a registered charity providing first aid, ambulance and social care services to the Dublin 15 Community for over 32 years.
What's Involved
Volunteering with the Irish Red Cross is an opportunity for people of all ages to meet new people, learn new skills and be a positive part of your local community.
We take part in weekly training where we learn and practice first aid skills, take part in youth programmes such as the Gaisce OPTIONS programme, and take part in realistic scenario based training.
Our volunteers are issued with a uniform and go out on duty at local and national events, treating ill or injured people alongside other volunteers.
There are lots of opportunities for volunteers to take part in a wide range of roles such as being part of the Branch and Area Committees responsible for managing and fundraising for all of the units in the local area. Our volunteers can go on to train in other first aid and medical skills and can advance to Emergency Medical Technician and Emergency First Responder courses.
Volunteers are often called upon in times of severe weather to support their local community and ambulance service.
