About Cornerstone
Cornerstone (formerly Sligo Social Services Council Ltd.) is a voluntary company, limited by guarantee, established to respond to the needs of individuals, families and communities in the Sligo region promoting justice, equality and the dignity of the human being. Volunteers are central to the work of Sligo Social Services. Volunteers work alongside professional staff to deliver vital services to those in need.
What's Involved
Volunteers to stay overnight in an emergency hostel for the homeless, once a month from 10pm and 8am in the morning.
Between 12 and 8am residents of the hostel are in bed so volunteers have their own room for a sleep over.
What's required for this position
Must have good communication & interpersonal skills. New volunteers are always needed for this role.
